Check on Peter James on the 1881 and 1891 census returns shows he is the son of Caroline E Vanstone, a widow.
If you then trace the other siblings back through the census returns, you can see that his father was Christopher Vanstone (b 1816/7). There is also a marriage record for Christopher Vanstone to Caroline Palmer in 1852.
Christopher and Caroline can be found in the family trees on this site! Look at Tree 1 (Broadwoodkelly line). Towards the bottom Tristram (numbered 16) has as his 7th child Christopher, who married Caroline Palmer.
Following back up from Tristram (1778) and Grace Smale (1780) to Benjamin (1740) and Thomazin Weeks (1768) you arrive at Benjamin (1710) and Mary Rix (1734).
There you go! A whole family tree for very little effort! ;-)
